Your roster never leaves your phone. The app reads your roster calendar (or uploaded roster) locally, on the device, and only looks for nightstops — which airport, which dates. Nothing about your flights, duties or crew composition is uploaded to our servers. Unlink it and the data is gone.
iPhone: the app runs in TestFlight, Apple's test platform. Install the TestFlight app, tap the invite link on this site, and The Crew Compass installs like any other app.
Android: download it directly via the button on the homepage — see below. You sign in with your email; an account is only used to sync your favourites and contributions.
The Android version comes straight from this site (not from the Play Store). Here's how:
That warning is standard for any app outside the Play Store. New versions are announced by the app itself with an update banner.
Yes — the app is free for crew while it's in its test phase. At some point a paid version may follow; if that happens, you'll hear it in the app well in advance. No ads, and your data is never sold either way.
Please do — that's the whole idea. Paste a Google Maps link and the place fills itself in: distance from the crew hotel, opening hours, photos. You can also fix hotel details, add the arrival route at a station, or drop a photo of where the crew taxi waits. What you add goes live for the whole crew right away.
Any crew member can already browse all destinations. But hotels, walking times and station routes are currently tuned to KLM and KLM Cityhopper. Use the form on the homepage to send us your roster PDF or roster calendar link — that's exactly what we need to add your airline, and you'll hear from us when it's ready.
Use Feedback in your profile inside the app (you can attach a screenshot), or simply correct it yourself — most content can be edited in place. For anything else: support@thecrewcompass.app.
